    Wow,

Do we need another lawyer to sue businesses out of business and suck dry our wealth through government with laws, or do we need people who can pull energy out of the ground to make our lives easier?

Sounds like a no brainer to me.

The one I have - California Institute of Technology, more commonly known as Caltech.

I have a t-shirt that has MIT on the front. On the back it reads "Because not everyone can go to Caltech".

SDSM&T President Bob Wharton died unexpectedly this last week. He was my boss for a short while at Idaho State University. He came to ISU as the Chief Research Officer, later changed to Vice President for Research, and I was his Deputy. He then was named ISU's Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs, and I was named Interim Vice President for Research. Bob left ISU to become President of SDSM&T, and was largely responsible for moving it to the stature it has today. He was a good friend and great boss.

I don't what happened to the comments that I made on this topic yesterday - maybe I insulted someone, but what I said was the most valuable diplomas, in terms of getting a job interview, are the Ivy League (Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Penn, Princeton, and Yale). A close second are those from Stanford, Duke, maybe North Carolina, Northwestern and Rice. Another group of excellent schools to graduate from are the U.S. military academies, as well as Cal Tech and MIT.

I came off a potato farm. As a freshman at Georgetown Univ., my Father sent me a letter saying "Henry, this year at Georgetown is costing me $2,500! So don't waste it".
Georgetown runs $50,000 a year now. Am an alumnus of Georgetown, Holy Cross, Notre Dame, Stevens Tech and Harvard Business School - Last two while working full time.

Georgetown was the best, although I married a Saint Mary's girl from South Bend.
