Galzan offers a replacement pad that is a copy of the original sunrise pad I would go for one of those. I hope all the Morgan bashers did not convince you to change if it works for you keep it till you try the new pad you may want to go back.

Galazan also offers a reproduction of the Hawkins and a reproduction of the Jostam Hy-Gun

I think the old style engraving on the 1927 Ithaca calls for an older looking pad, and to me the Ithaca sunburst is more modern

I am leaning towards the Hawkins, but telling the pad fitter not to cange the wood so the Morgan will still fit.

Morgan now makes a flat pad to fit the old metal top plate

Anything but the Morgan Pad. Search and read a little and then decide. I would say it depends on if you're going to shoot it or want it to look good/somewhat original.

A lot of the top-line early American guns, including Ithaca had Silvers solid red pads - and that makes a sharp looking gun, too.

Galazan has them, also, and I'd think that is a more authentic look for that age of gun than the sunburst, jostams bricks&mortar or the hawkins.

    Sweet gun, btw.
