If you could only have one handgun for concealed carry what make, model and caliber would you choose?

I carry a Glock 17 9MM. High capacity and the trigger pull is the same every time. I also like the fact that I don't have to fumble with a safety. Point and shoot.

I have already chosen my Kahr CW-40. It is very easy to pack and the .40 S&W caliber is an awesome cartridge. The pistol holds seven rounds and the spare magazine holds another seven rounds.

The Kahr CW-40 is the same size as my Bersa Thunder .380.

PARA LDA in a 40SW. High Capacity mag. and BIG bullets. Since it's a double action, I can pick a fly off a cows ass with it.

For light work,or every day carry, can't beat my LCP. But... If you think it may be a sticky situation, I LOVE my Sig P220 carry. Nothin' beats the 45 ACP.
    Just my 2 cents.

I have had several, and my favorite small gun is my Walther PPS in .40S&W.6+1 is plenty of firepower. I had a Taurus Ti 7 shot .357 mag w/2" bbl. That was great but sold it. Wish I had that one back. Full size, either Sig 226 or 220.

For those carrying a larger pistol...like the Glocks, what kind of holsters do you use to conceal?

What's the largest frame you can carry given your clothing choice?

What's the largest caliber you can handle?

    There ya go.

For everyday, especially down here in Florida where I'm often in very "lite-weight" street clothes I carry a 5-shot Charter .38. I know it's a compromise, but figure having the 5 shot .38 ON ME...is gonna be a lot more helpful than the .45 in my drawer at home. The other point I'd add to the discussion is that whatever you choose...shoot it A LOT. Shoot it at targets up close, fire multiple rounds and practice SAFELY drawing from concealment.
