I need a doubles gun, and am looking at a Citori Plus with 30" barrels ($1499) and a 1980 vintage Citori combo for about the same money delivered. The combo is more used, has fixed choke 34" and 32' barrels.

Which would make a better doubles gun?

I had a Citori Plus once...hard gun to miss with. Thinking about findng another one.

I have an XT now..it's fine, but still not a Citori PLus.

I still have a Citori Skeet gun, and have had several other Citoris...so I like the Citori very well...but that high adjustable rib and stock adjustments on the Plus are hard to beat.

It was 10 years ahead of the market INMO...now everyone is doing those things to guns. Individuals and mfgs.
