I remember I was in 5th grade, I was in San Antonio Texas for the NSCA national championships, I was woken up by my mom and explained to what had happened. Being 10 years old at the time I couldn't comprehend what was going on. All Airports were shut down of course so we took a family road trip from Texas back here to California. I don't remember much from that age, but I do know I will NEVER forget that morning.

11th grade, just getting out of math class. Stayed @ school, but the rest of the classes for the day were basically canceled, and we all sat around watching TV coverage in various parts of the school.

Senior year of high school, driving to school in my 84 mustang notchback...listening to the radio when the reports came in...watched it unfold in the classroom on live tv.

Still get emotional when thinking about that drive and that day.

I was driving to work, listening to AM talk radio when the first hit was announced. Before I got to work the second hit was announced and then I knew. For about 30 seconds I was very angry, but then logic took over and I knew yet more. 9/11 was the inevitable result of American sloth and political correctness that the American people had been wallowing in for decades. The government institutions who had all the evidence in the world that this was on it's way had been emasculated with the full cooperation of the American people, and were more interested in guarding their turf and not deviating from political correctness than in doing what they were paid for. After I came to the conclusion that the laws of nature made 9/11 a certainty, only a matter of when, not if, I calmed down and saw 9/11 for what it was and is - the inevitable result of America's own sloth and moral degeneracy leading to blinding stupidity.

Driving down Hwy 34 just past the town of Knowlton, Wisconsin. It was a beautiful sunny day. I was listening to the Bob and Tom show. I remember Christy Lee saying there where reports of a plane hitting the World Trade Center Building. They where thinking a small aircraft accidentally crashed, or something of that nature. They must have turned on a T.V. at that time. They where watching the T.V. when the second plane hit. Bob said "That was not a small plane, was that a replay?" They then realized that the second plane flew into the other tower, and said something to the affect that this was intentional, and not an accident. I remember instantly feeling nauseous from the adrenaline rush. One of those instants, that you never forget.

I was at the ConocoPhillips refinery in Roxana, IL making a delivery. When the first plane hit the refinery was put on alert. When the second plane hit, the refinery was then ordered to lock it down. I was promptly escorted to the gate and told they wouldn't be opening again that day. Not having access to a TV in my semi, I didn't understand the magnitude until I got home a few hours later. Like others have stated, I'll never forget that day.

I'll never forget driving and watching/wondering if a plane was gonna come slamming into St. Louis as I drove by.

I was in my AC/DC theory class in college. We had just come back into the classroom from a break. The teacher who was always there before us didnt come back until about 5 minutes later. He opened the door and said everyone follow me. We walked to another room just down the hall and found a room full of students and staff. Everyone was standing around a TV that showed a building bellowing smoke out of it. They then explained a plane had hit the building, we watched in horror as the second plane struck the second building. Terrible day in history thats for sure.

I was on a remote lake in Canada fishing. A boat approached us about 1pm and asked us if we knew what happened. When we got back to the resort and were watching TV that night in a commons area with many locals and US citizens it was mind numbing. The outrage on what happened and the support that was coming from the Canadians was a world of two extremes. When we got to customs a few days later the line to get through was 12hrs long.

I had worked night shift, and my son came in before he left for school to wake me up and tell me about it. I headed to the kitchen to make breakfast, and he came in to report the second hit. When he came back again and said they were big planes, not small private jobs, I knew it was terrorism of some sort, and big changes were coming to our free and easy way of life in North America.

I was working on a computer in the restoration lab of the National Gallery of Art in D.C. ..directly across the street from the Capitol Bldgs front steps...we were directed after the second Tower then Pentagon was hit to head to our utility level below ground ...was stuck there almost 8hrs before we were informed the Metro trains were running again but only ferrying passengers out of town not allowing any but residents back in...scared the hell out of my family as communications were impossible

Coming back from maine thru New York and noticied alot a police cars blocking all exits. Webwere coming back from vacation and had the radio off just talking when my son called and asked where the hell we were as the towers had been hit and to get the hell out of New York. We had actually planned on going thru the city that day for some sight seeing and changed our minds. Guess you know what we did. Got the hell out of New York and really didn't say much to one another for quite some time. In shock i guess. Those people will never be made to pay for what they took from us that day. May they all rest in peace. Tim

We were on our boat @ The Ortega River Marina in Jacksonville Fl. Early in the morning all the loud speakers in the marina were broadcasting the events. Woke my wife up & starting watching the events unfold.

A few weeks later we attended the navy ball @ NASJAX--very moving , we knew we were going to war.

I was on my way to MacDonald's to have coffee with several other retiree;s. Just before I got there I heard via the car radio the first hit.

Entering MacDonald's, I said in a loud voice to turn on the TV. Which the retiree's shouted back to me, not to.

But they quickly quieted down as the second airplane hit the second building.

I was on Rt. 17 just south of Fredericksburg, Va. on my way to an appointment at Smoot Lumber in Arlington, Va. Crystal clear morning. Mrs. "T" called me on my cell phone. I'll never forget it.

I was floating down the Salt Springs Run, into Lake George, with an ice-cold case of beer in my boat, in the Ocala National Forest. Later that day when I got back to the boat ramp, I noticed everyone was scurring around the boat ramp like ants. I wondered, "What the heck is going on?" Then, someone at the boat ramp told me.....
