today I traveled over west of Jackson, Michigan and shot the fabled Big "9" Sportsmans club outside Concord, Michigan.

I shot singles and caps' with Jim Johnston, who had promised sunny weather. He lied..lol

Great little 2 trap club. An example of the heart and soul of ATA grass roots trapshooting.

They suffered a devastating fire to their wonderful clubhouse, but, the garage is a cozy environment for the time being.

Very much enjoyed shooting with the guys there, and look forward to a return trip for one of the Calcuttas!!

    Thanks again,

    Jim Chapman

    Hell, Michigan

I shot at my first ever 'big' ATA shoot and went up to Cicero, NY for the 200 singles day. Didn't shoot the best, but it was a blast and gave me enough targets to try and re-learn my gun (I added weight to it to make it a bit more balanced and cut the recoil)

Santa Lucia Sportsman Association in Atascadero Ca. Had a good time shooting ATA singles, caps and doubles. Tough targets but a very good time. Forced me to try some new things.

Ruffsdale gun club in PA. Great club with 8 traps. Love those black ring targets on that blue sky background. Temps in the low 70's and a very slight breeze made for a very comfortable day.

God, I sure wish I could. If I did, I'd have been at Ben Avery Clay Target Center.

Shot Leo Harrison clinic at United Sportsmans Club in Jefferson City, Mo. Anyone who has not done this needs to. But only if you want to be a better shooter, because you will be.
