I don't remember the date I last bought shot, but it was $28 for a 25 lb bag. Not sure when or if I'll buy more at the prices it is now. This post is in response to the post about lead prices going down. Biff

I'm down to 4 bags that I paid $12.50 a bag. The last couple of years I have been shooting Remington Gun Clubs that I was purchasing for less than $40 a flat. Now the price of shot and shells is sky high, don't know what I will do.

Today I received two bags of no 9 shot with our birds at 9.07 a box. This was from Park and Sons. The shot was $42.63 a bag. I bought it to use with my 410 reloader. I still have 350 lbs of shot made with a Stewart machine that I paid $1.00 a lb for and drove to Montgomery Al. to get it. I still have my shotmaker that I have yet to fire up and approx. 1300lbs of lead. I thought lead was going down but prices sure don't reflect it. Jackie B.

When the price of shot hit $30.00 a bag I quit buying it. I bought a shotmaker and now make my own. I think the shot manufacturers have lost me forever as a buyer, no matter if shot goes down to $10.00 a bag. My shot looks and shoots as good as factory shot.

    August of 2006.

If my memory serves me correctly, I paid somewhere around $16 or $17 / bag for West Coast magnum shot. I have less than 10 bags left, and I REFUSE to pay $50 for shot.

It's going to be a rather bleak summer season..........
