when to change mx firing pins as maintenance

    is it advisable once a year--shot appx 10000 rounds--there is some where on the pins

    who has the best firing pins---

    These are the BEST pins i have seen in years, I have made a few from M-1 tool steel , "PBB" said they were good , but the ones Bruce makes are better. Joe

    There's a reason the whole firing pin is not the same hardness.

    There is no need to replace the firing pins unless you see damage or pitting on them. Just clean them every 5K or so.

    I'd be more concerned about changing the hammer springs
    annually.They brake alot more often than firing pins.

    +1 on the hammer springs...

    failure-to-fires in registered can have dire consequences....
