Does our nieve Commander in Chief, really think that Israel will stand by and wait for Iran to get the BOMB. Israel will take out Iran & use whatever it takes. And if they are in fear of losing everything ,they will take out every bit of Arab oil infrastruture. This is reality. Too bad our Pres. doesn,t deal in realities.

They could have flattened Iraq when they invaded Kuwait, but we said no, we will take care of it.

Clinton will make her move and promise Israel our services.

As far as I know we still have an agreement that we will defend Israel.

Israel could have ended this whole Middle East mess with one foul swoop.

    We should have let them.

Get ready for big oil prices, might be just enough to finish our frail economic recovery and tanking dollar.

Saddest thing is - Obama seems willing to accept American defeat in Afghanistan, in order not to upset the fragile balance in Congress on Health Care Reform.

Shannon, your thinking the same thing I am. It would be the last nail. With the goof ball in Iran threatening the Isreali's, we could see an air strike in Iran in the next week. And yes, fuel will skyrocket. Not good. Not good at all.

Everyone at the UN except Nobama knows he is irrelevant. Iran will be glass soon, I feel sorry for the people that fought in the streets about the election. They will be the true losers.

It's a long time coming, but Israel should also try to vaporize their leader the little dirt ball with the scrufty beard. Iran will try to block the gulf shipping lanes for revenge which will make crude soar to $200+ per barrel.

Israel is all business when it comes to terrorists. Take a look at the airline industry over there. They take no prisoners and put up with no BS at their airports. They have the best solution around when it comes to hijackings and terrosists demands. Kill'em all.

Israel will nuke Iran before breakfast. If Iraq even opens their mouth to complain they'll nuke them too. Might be a good lesson for the Palestinians and anyone else that thinks they can bully Israel.

Lets let the boys in middle east fight their own battles and let our boys come home and produce OUR OWN OIL that we have here in the USA and support ourselves, it would put many of our own people back to work and put the USA back on track

It's too bad the people of Iran have such a terrible leader, I was told by some people "in country" that most Iranians are peacefull and just want to live their lives. They are in fear of the bullshit that comes out of the mouth of Prez tom. and what his retoric could cost them all.

"I love it when a plan comes together.".

"Iran loses its only AWACS as Ahmadinejad threatens the world
    DEBKAfile Exclusive Report

    September 23, 2009, 12:20 PM (GMT+02:00)

Iran's AWACS destroyed in parade collision

Up above a big military parade in Tehran on Tuesday, Sept. 22, as Iranian president declared Iran's armed forces would "chop off the hands" of any power daring to attack his country, two air force jets collided in mid-air. One was Iran's only airborne warning and control system (AWACS) for coordinating long-distance aerial operations, DEBKAfile's military and Iranian sources disclose.

The proud military parade, which included a march-past, a line of Shehab-3 missiles and an air force fly-past, was planned to give Ahmadinejad a dazzling send-off for New York and add steel to his UN Assembly speech Wednesday.

Dubbed "Simorgh" (a flying creature of Iranian fable which performs wonders in mid-flight), the AWACS' appearance, escorted by fighter jets, was to have been the climax for the Iranian Air force's fly-past over the parade. Instead, it collided with one of escorting planes, a US-made F-5E, and both crashed to the ground in flames. All seven crewmen were killed.

Eye witnesses reported that the flaming planes landed on the mausoleum burial site of the Islamic revolution's founder Ruhollah Khomeini, a national shrine. According to Western observers, no distress signals came from either cockpit indicating that the collision and explosions were sudden and fast.

DEBKAfile's military sources say the disaster was a serious blow to the Iranian Air Force not long after its first and only AWACS went into service in April 2008. It was a renovated version of the Russian Ilyushin 76, part of Saddam Hussein's air force before it was transferred to Iran in 1991 during the first Gulf War.

Tehran hired Russian technicians to carry out renovations and install up-to-date radar. At the launching ceremony of the upgraded AWACS, Air Force commander Brig. Gen. Ahmad Miqani boasted its new radar systems were made in Iran and able to spot any airplane or missile at a distance of 1,000 kilometers from Iran's borders.

The loss of this airborne control system has left Iran's air force and air and missile defenses without "electronic eyes" for surveillance of the skies around its borders.
