I'm thinking Jim Scouten (?) the host of the shooting show that taped the 100k shoot-off said right around Thanksgiving.

I can't wait!!! I hope they show a good amount of shooting instead of 1 shot an interview and so on.

Is it true they spent time doing a segment on Dr. Longshot?

BigM, I hear they had a lengthy interview with our resident good-buddy, Beretta Young Gun. Ya can't let him feel neglected ya know, it's his right.

The problem as I see it is that they don't produce these shows for shooters. They get regular TV producers and directiors who don't know what shooters want to see so they never show the actual shooting to any extent. Rather, they want to build drama and conflict. They wind up with something that the shooters don't want to see and non-shooters will never watch for more than a few minutes or even seconds.

    Know your audience!

Birddogs. If that is true, and I don't think you know that any more than anyone else, it would be the fault of the promotional staff of the ATA and the WSRC staff. In the past the ATA did a poor job of working with the electronic media. I would like to think that that has changed and the show will have a lot of production value for the ATA and trapshooting in general.

I did get to chat briefly with the man will be hosting the show and I don't believe you should judge the effort until you see the product. He seemed to know quite a bit about trapshooting.

What is a shame is that neither the ATA nor the Trap & Field has let anyone know when the show will be aired. By the time the Trap & Field let's us know the premier may have passed.

Barry, agreed!! I too chatted with Jim Scouten and even he was a tad excited about filming the 100 Grand shoot-out! That and the surprise winner!! I'd bet it's a good show for trapshooters too!

Hey Barry, If we-you, stir the pot as you have started maybe we will see the Sport that we have Loved for the last 25plus years on T.V. The problem is will anyone who doesn't participate really understand. What we need as a Organization is more advertisememt how ever it comes.

Seymore. If Mr. Scouten does his usual good job it will help trapshooting.

The segments are going into editing as we speak. With 6 cameras being used it takes time to sort out. First airing tentatively set for November according to Jim.

As stated above it will be on the Outdoors Channel. I read that Jim Scouten and his son were putting it together and I would think we'll all enjoy it as Scouten is a great m. c. and has a great program in Shooting USA.
