My question is for those of you that really believe the government is going to take our guns. Obviously, there are a lot of gun owners that think that way. I was just wondering what creative ideas do you guys have for when that day comes.

What do we do? Hide them? Turn them in , like we are supposed to? Keep them and shoot them like we dont care what the law says? Turn in some of them but not all of them? Have any of you guys thought it out that far?

I am sure some of you guys must have a clever idea or two to share with us.

Won't happen. Confiscation is the same as expropriation. The government has to pay for any private property that they take for the "common good". They also have to follow a legal process. The two costs would be unbelievable across the US. Bill Malcolm

This may be hear say but someone told me over the weekend the hussin said there were over 80 million gun owners and that the repercussion would be to great to try and take them away. I hope that's the case.

There won't be a full frontal assault with people knocking on you door saying hand it over, so the question is sort of pointless. What could happen is the same thing that happened with fully automatic guns. You don't see them in large number do we??? Well lets just apply that to all guns. Lets say you can't make guns anymore. Lets face it, the current guns will eventually wear out and if you can't replace it, problem solved.

The removal of guns from this country would take decades to accomplish.

It's a matter of training younger generations and waiting for the older ones to die. It's honestly not that complicated of a task, it's just going to take patience on the side of anti-gun people is all.

The Australian and English people trusted their governments to do what's best for their country and became subjects.

Take a look at how powerful out country's "Patriot Act" is in the link above? Whether or not this kid is guilty of anything, due process is missing! We've forgotten about our constitutional rights in a panic haste to protect our people from true terrorism.

The way our current administration is leading our country toward the path of socialism, nothing would surprise me! As seen and heard recently, the words calling our veterans a radical group should scare the hell out of all of us! For these idiots in charge, using the Patriot Act could be a handy tool to protect the United States of America! From us patriot radicals?? Any government wanting total control has to disarm the populace before victory can claimed? World history says this is true through laws enacted by Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot and many others in recent history! Hap

    Yep Hap,

That is the downside of the (un) Patriot Act. Also a good reason not to post anything about your planned response to any possible new regulations.

    Bill,

Is that because the Constitution says so? Why would you believe they would follow a "legal process" if they were already violating the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution?

    Shoot well and often,

    Mark.

Hey fred, guess what? Homeland security's report calls Christians and Jews a threat because of our religion! We are extremists.

They pulled the report back but it got out anyway.

I guess you have to be a secular progressive fag loving abortion loving Liberal with a multiracial family in order to be considered normal by these assholes.

They can go pound sand. I know what and who made this country great, and I will just have to laugh while they make it disintegrate.

The blatant lies and spin coming out of our latest so called leaders, and the slobbering love affair the mainstream media has with them is repulsive to say the least.

I wonder how 4 years of blaming Bush is going to fly in the next election.

Well, Charleton Heston said it best, "When they pry my cold dead fingers from the gun...". Fortunately, he doesn't have to experience what's coming. They'll be a lot of other distractions such as with the ammo, the Assault Weapons Ban law, the just constant infringement upon our gun rights. It's amazing how those who are sworn to uphold the Constitution will be the ones who will violate it. It's really criminal. BT-100dc
