Had a discussion the other night with the president of our club about painting our trap houses Hunter green, All our bench's are green and scorers chairs. He thinks flat black it best. What are your thoughts?

Black will draw the light and suns heat, maybe the battleship gray with the conventional hunter green roof.

Bright yellow. So we won't have those endless shoot offs.

ditto the bright yellow. except i've never seen a freshly painted trap house which wasn't soon filthy with gummy residue from target fallout. regardless of color, go with a premium quality paint. there's nothing worse than a bunch of fading houses just a couple of years after you painted them. good luck with it

Paint it the color of the concrete blocks.

That way, when people shoot it you'll never know.

Grow grass on the top of the traphouse to give the illusion that the target is a bird rising out of the field.

Camo (Advantage Max-4) for real men (and women)

Hunter green for the yuppies and wannabe real shooter's.

    Black for the politically correct.

Prism colors for the Rainbow Coalition members.

    Fuschia for the occassional skeeter.

These are but a few of the colors.....

Seems everyone has lots of opinions. Make them hunter or darker green. The contrast for orange and white targets is much better. Don't shoot many white anymore. Like I said everyone has an opinion, and this is mine.

The trap houses at Oxford Gun club are Hunter Green with Black roofs. Since I have been shooting here in Indiana I have seen trap houses that are Brown, Black, Dark Red, and Grey. To me it seems that the background has a much bigger effect on my vision than the color of the house.

Rich In Indiana (my vote is for hunter green)

Don't know if it's the best color but all our traps are painted a flat medium gray and have dark granular roofs to eliminate reflections. The background is weeds in summer and tree trunks in fall/winter.<center>

If your monitor renders color properly you'll see it correctly.

As my old buddy Dave used to say, "Paint it puce!"

Dark green seems to be the fav around here.

Guess we could ask Terry Jordan what color is the most requested?

Paint them pink. This will attract skeet shooters and improve attendance at shoots. HMB
