1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

    For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

    I have an unfired Bushmaster AR-15 Varminter with a Leupold 6-18 VariX II scope and Harris bi-pod. There are also a couple of mags , stock weight and a nice soft carry case that would go with it. What is something like this selling for these days? I would want to sell it as a package. I am trying to get an idea of its worth to decide if I want to sell it or not. Thanks, gjmen

    $1,600 +/-. There are still AR15's varmints out there for $1,100.

    Gun by itself- approx $1,000. (new ones online can be had for 1,100)
    Scope = $500 new
    bipods= $70 new

    Based on what I've seen (just bought an AR two weeks ago) if you are eager to sell, it will sell faster without the scope. If you want to sell together 1,400-1,500 is resonable but you will probably have to wait it out for the right buyer.

    BMC has it right. Still lots of overpriced ones on the net but they're not selling unless they have something special and desirable with the tac crowd. Nice gun although the short light m4 type versions seem to sell faster.

    Can you use the scope on something else you own? Any time you add accessories, you begin to personalize it and make it harder to sell or get your money back. Try selling just the rifle if you're in a hurry to get some cash.

    noknock1 I agree and I sell on Gunbroker 50 auctions a week. If you need the money now is time to sell. If not I would hold on to it. The shi- will hit the fan and there is still people holding back form buying big money items.

    You might try the search feature of Auction Arms...

    If you look at the right side of the window the above link provides there is a box which says 'Everything Available.'

    Use the drop down menu and change that to 'Ended in last 90 Days.'

    This will give you the ACTUAL selling prices for items sold - not asking price, or reserves that were not met. This should give you a better idea of what people are willing to pay for your AR.

    Don't know what it's worth, but I wouldn't ever sell a rifle with a scope attached to it, you will never get back what you spent for quality glass. Now is the time to sell an AR if you're going to, though, because their prices will come back down when no one's afraid of losing them soon (hopefully).
