    What

I'm looking at buying a used, late model MX barrel for my late model MX receiver. What's involved with fitting them? Does metal come off the barrels or receiver?

    Thanks in advance.

Well, could be locking bolt, barrel trunnions, forend, ejectors, any number of things.

If both are late model it should fit up. Locking bolt and angle of barrel lugs may need addressed.

As you are asking the question, I think you would be well served by sending it out to a gunsmith who can answer the question.

Any firearm receiver is the master, barrels are fitted to a receiver, never vice versa.
