Barrels have be opened to skt \ skt--serial no is 10670

The gun is in decent shape--i would say 7 out of 10

I would say $1700-2100 in that condition

The strong point of that gun is the serial number

    Thanks gene---

Anything to particularly look out--heard they are prone to doubling

Not really prone to doubling - unless someone has messed with it and did not know what he/she was doing. I have owned several Krieghoff Model 32's since about 1977-78 and never experienced a doubling occurrence.

I believe what Gene is referring to is that the Model 32 was a rather continous progression of improvements - right on up through the K-80. (And, the K-80 continues to undergo very gradual improvements.) Truth be told, there is more difference between and early and late Model 32 than there is between a late Model 32 and a K-80. And they can all be updated. Ah, but what a brilliant marketing ploy to change the model name!!!

You want to stay, according to some, above 2000; above 3000 according to others; and above 5000 according to most. I own them from 4471 to 10086 and cannot tell any difference in reliability or performance.

The last noticable Model 32 evolutionary step I have recognized (prior to the transition Model 32's - around #11300) is a change (reduction) in the pin diameter of part #716 at about serial number 6700. But, this is very minor and of no consequence to the performance of the gun.

Some folk actually prefer the model 32 trigger to the K-80 trigger. The Model 32 is a great, high quality gun at a bargain price compared to other guns of comperable quality..... unless you buy a worn out specimen.

Often people dont understand how the K32 works and thus they sometimes inadvertently move the selctor lever and think the gun has doubled- or because the trigger pull is so much shorter and lighter they pull it twice

I let someone shoot my K80 for a round- after shooting a browing and it "doubled" on him several times in that round.

I dont think any particular serial number range is problematic but I would pay less as the serial numbers go lower.

You also need to understand that barrels are not as interchangeable as the serial numbers go lower= without a lot of fitting

    Any K32 may be updated.

7 out of 10 sounds pretty worn to me-- A price - you might want to take some reading comprehension training - after you get done commanding all of those military units you commanded. Have you made it over to your VFW yet? I am sure they would all appreciate your expertise and military command experience you brag about- lol

I looked at the gun in person---the seller gave me the 10781 serial of the barrel---

The reciever serial number is 4021

The barrels were originally imp mod and full but have been opened upto skeet and skeet....

Not sure what else has been played around with...

The trigger has a shoe added to it..

    Seller will take 1400

What else should one look for in this gun...

Well even if the barrel was not well fitted- that would be a good price

Something doesnt seem right about the chokes with those barrels or the sellers story but so what

Is the rib post design what you see on most K32s?

What else you need to look for = like hinge pin wear- oversized hinge pins- oversized top latches- etc is really too hard to explain

To directly answer your question- if it shoots and you dont see any cracks in the receiver- etc it is worth the 1400

$1,525.00 off gunbroker.com about 8 months ago. It came with 2 sets of wood and 2 barrels. O/U and top single. Both stocks were cracked but repaired. You can find bargains.

Gotta look a long time for this price. Inscribed the barrels also.

D & B. Link above. I have one item to go and that is K-80 internals. Already have all parts but with wife and I having some Med problems we have been delaying a trip to the other side of the state to K.I. Mike.

PS: Gene is right at $1400 grab it.
