Hi Guys Happy Thursday!! Almost time to go shootin:)

Anyone have an opinion on who makes the best recoil pads.

I need to add a Graco "Breako" for stock adjustment to a Beretta 682X and thought as long as im working on it a new pad is in order.

    Thanks

    Matt

You can't go wrong with Kick Eez, 80% of shooters use them. Gooey pads get hot and sticky in the summer but are really soft. Let me know if you need any help on the install.

any solid pad performs like a solid pad. Whereas a partiall hollow pad squishes, not unlike a device. I prefer a Decelerator or similar. Aything but a gooey... Canot set theim on the ground without picking up gravel. And if you shoot them too long they become a mushy mess.

Get a prefit pad. There is no sense having a pad ground to fit a Graco system.
Beretta 5 3/8" pads prefit for a Beretta are made by Kickeez, Limbsaver, and X-Coil (Hiviz). There is a closeout on the X-Coil pads through MPC Sports. They normally sell for about $ 40, and their price is $19.99. I ordered one but I haven't received it yet. The other pads you have to order direct and they're full price. I had a Kickeez prefit pad once and it fit my 391 perfectly.

I have to agree that Gooey is the softest, but it's sticky and don't last as long as others.

IMO, the best all around pad is probably Kickeez. I have them on almost all my target guns.

It's also IMO, if one don't mind the look of a Graco or any other stock attachments, one should not care about how pad looks. Get the largest pad you can put on it to distribute recoil on.

    Sorry to bore you guys!

Just looking for the opinion of those in the know.

Its funny, I tend to learn more from the negative opinions than the positive ones....maybe its just that negative opinions are more passionate.

    Thanks All for the replies

brent375hh, You may be right--most of these guys haven't tried the XLT or they would use it. Best in my book. Phil S
