What size legs do I want on a Harris bipod for prone shooting a bushmaster 223 with a pistol grip?

This is there "benchrest" model. Legs extend about 1 foot....legs back in is about 6". Works very well for prone.

    I was thinking about a 6 to 9 inch

Will that be big enough for prone?

I just measured this one. About 7" collapsed and 13" extended. I don't think I'd go shorter than that.

Andy: You saw the title of the thread, if you didn't like it why read it and make a comment. Many of us have other shooting interests. If I don't like the name of a thread I don't open it. Big deal!
