I had a chance to chat with a shooter this past week who basically asked what makes the LV 1000 different from other shoots. I told him three main things. On the on the shooting side, unlike the large state shoots and Sat Grands, where there are a lot of high volume shooters really focused on reaching individual goals our format allows the guys who shoot a few hundred to a couple of thousand ATA targets a year to come to a great facility and have a chance to win a buckle, some nice trophies, some real money and have a good time doing it.

The second thing was that we removed all the non-shooting hassle of finding a hotel, renting a car, worrying about keeping your gun secure and finding people to shoot with. Plus, we have Las Vegas so there is tons of stuff to do in the evenings and if you bring a spouse, they certainly aren’t stuck sitting around the gun club or looking for something to kill time.

The third thing was that it is a very sociable shoot. Because most shooters stay at the same hotel and ride the motor coaches to and from the Club, it is easy to meet other shooters. Also, beginning with the arrival night reception in Gary’s suite and continuing with a reception every night there after, our shooters get even more chances to meet new people.

Plus, we have structured the program to be absolutely first class. We have a first rate hotel, we have luxury 55 passenger motor coaches, we have an absolutely beautiful gun club run by Steve Carmichael, one of the most experienced and successful gun club managers ever, we have first class trophies, prizes and awards and we top it off with a very nice awards banquet.

As for the shooter who called? Yep, he signed up and he is bringing his wife. Over half of our shooters from last year have already put up their deposits to return. So, if you want to join in the fun, we promise to really make you feel welcome. Click the link above for more info.

A friend and I were in Las Vegas over the weekend. We went out to the club on Sunday. Very impressive place.

Here is Marian shooting her very first clay target ever.
