I have 3 Graco barrel weight systems installed on 3 guns and the tape on the inner surfaces of the weight clamps is shot. I've tried a variety of tapes as replacements but they all soften, melt and allow the weights to slide after 400-500 rounds.

I emailed Graco but didn't get a reply so I'm wondering if anyone has any idea what to use on the clamp surfaces that won't get soft and sticky as the barrel gets warm?

I buy a thin two sided white tape at Walmart to replace tape on sights and ribs. It works for that. I think it would work for the barrel weights but I can't guarantee it.

I agree w/ EuroJoe. It's made by 3m and I got some at Home Depot. About $8 p/ roll. This is the best 2 sided tape I have ever used. It will hold anything!

    skeet_man,

electrical tape is one of the first things I tried... about a half-dozen brands and the adhesive on all of them was mush after one weekend of singles and handicap

    EuroJoe,

I have several rolls of that tape hanging on my tool board...3M Exterior Mounting Tape...never thought it would handle the heat...I'll try it. Thanks

3m is the best. Google the types and buy the one that is the stickiest.
