What is Tri-Flow

    What is Tri-Flow that I see added to shot when tumbeling?? to make the graphite adhere better
    Or what are alternatives to Triflow??

    It is an over the counter lube sold in hardware stores. Light weight oil with teflon, I think. HMB

    triflow teflon lubricant. i get at bicyle shops.
    giacomo recomends it. good enough for him good

    Better than 3-in-1, but dry graphite on shot is usually the best recommendation. It only takes a little graphite to do the trick, so why bother adding anything else to the mix.

    Began as Tri-Flon in the late sixties. Changed to Triflow, probably because of the tendency for people to think it was some kind of teflon....we used it on our muzzle loaders lock parts and called it liquid ball bearings. Great stuff.

    I had some old Tri-Flow. I t was more yellow and had more viscosity than the current offering. The newer Tri-Flow is much thinner and clear. I have started using a little grease on hinge pin and Tri-Flow on jeweled surfaces.

    You should see what a little does for reclaimed shot when you tumble it with graphite for a few hours.. Put it on a pattern board.. You'll like what you see..
