A freind bought a old Mec 700 and this came with a box of goodies. At first I thought it must be a replacement crimp starter but its not. It almost looks like a crimp checking device???? Anyway it is as photo'ed but also has the # 2 stamped on it.

It's an old style 6 point crimp starter for a mec. Its counter part is a shorter 8 point that uses a shim to get the correct crimp start. Okieshootist (David )
