Shotgun single barrel with hammer. One side has "Expert Trap" and the other like wise but more of a scroll. Grip cap say Simmons Hardware Store.

Every time I see this picture of the "pichers," it just cracks me up.

What's up with that last guy? Look at his torso!

Anybody know anything about these guns? I have the same gun in 16 Ga. It was my dads gun. He used it to hunt small game. The gun has Expert trap in script
on the side of it. Makes me think it was an early single barrel trap gun. Have been trying for years to find info. Anyone??????

Check with guy at the NRA, he's got a pretty good history of those types of guns (Sears, Mont. Wards, Western Auto, etc).

I will see what I can do about the picture, I was doing this for my father who just turned 82 and does not have the skills to post on this website. I just had a total knee replacement and getting over to his house isn't easy right now. I was hoping for the possibility that someone of you had maybe ran across one of these before and could tell me just a little more of what to look for. Glad I could humor some of you.
