Was shooting at my local gun club today. Without knowing it, I signed up for a squad that was shooting from the 22 yard line. There was only three of us. I didn't realize my mistake until I got out to the trap. They told me they were shooting 22. I am new to shooting and have never shot from anything other than 16. I was fine with shooting from 22. Wow, it was FUN!
Anyway, here is my question. How do you move from one station to the next? They told me to just go from one station to the next however I wanted, but I think maybe they were just being nice. How is it that you move between stations? How about from 5 to 1? Thanks.
You shoot Just like 16. Just follow the order. When the guy to your left shoots you you shoot and when the last guy shoots you all change stations together. If you're on five when everyone changes got to one. Whoever shoots first ant the start of the round always shoots first.

Yes, I get that part. What I am asking is can I cut across the grass to get from one station to the next, or do I follow the little paths back and then follow the paths up to the next station. Thanks.
Ninth, PM me with your address and I will send you a photocopy of a book put out by Garcia and Beretta that has a very nice chapter on etiquette on the trap range. Bulge.
Walk forward, then across in front of the other shooters. It is slightly dangerous but it will give any Club Geezers nearby something to moan about for a good six months.
from post 5 I usually hand my gun to my gun caddie GW22 and he hands me a cold drink and we walk directly to post one behind the shooters. He hands me my gun and a fresh shell and patiently stands there quietly handing me shells and taking my empties.
Here in mi it depends on the month. Right now you have to follow the trails or strap on your snowshoes if you want to cut directly across.
