I would like knowing which is the best and cheepest route for to ship once fired empties....

Mail / Ground / or by Air cargo...

Also what would be the largest number hulls that could be shipped in one package according to shipping guidelines....

    Information is much appreciated,

    Robert

The issue will more likely be the size of the box rather than the weight. You'll need to check each carriers regulations on this. My experience is FedEx is best here.

Most carriers have a standard package limit of 70 pounds - above that and they either won't handle it, or you pay a great deal extra, or it has to go 'freight.'

As a general FYI the USPS is 'funny' with "noisy" packages - they want things well packed and when they hear the hulls rattling about they start asking questions. You should be all right shipping the hulls but be prepared for funny looks and perhaps to answer a few questions ("Empty what?!")

18X18X18 - 2000 hulls can be shipped - 40 pounds +/-. Put the hulls in a grabage bag and duct tape all the corner surfaces..

I bought 10000 from a guy and had a friend that owns a truck pick them up for me. Best cheapest way for oversize packages is Greyhound.

I bought some hulls off E-bay once and the guy shipped them as, "printed material", through the Postal Service which was very, very cheap. About 1/3 the regular cost. Check with the local post office.
