    I have always used Lil Gun for reloading my AA and AAHS hulls. I have noticed that it is extremely dirty and burns up the hulls in short order. I'm only getting 4 reloads on most of my HS hulls. I have been using 12.9 grains of powder with the AAHS wad. I haven't used any other powder so would appreciate your response. Jackie B.

    I use Hodgdons' H110 and get about 6-7 loads before the hulls are burned too bad to load. The WW HS hulls seems to be the most durable.

    H110 and 296 are the same thing and I continue to get the best results/hull life with them. The downside is that you use more powder but almost doubling the number of loads per hull is good compensation. Ron

    I used IMR 4227, it shot good, but it was hard on the hulls, I seldom got 4 reloads. My buddy really likes that lil'gun powder.

    Alliant 410 is my first choice. Hodgdon H110 is my second choice. There is no third choice...

    I second what Bob K said. Alliant 410 works very well for my skeet loads. I have tried H110 and 296 and like the Alliant 410 the best. Bob

    I concur with the last couple of posts. Alliant 410 burns a bit cleaner than Lil Gun. I find either hit or miss on being able to find easily. Getting about 5-7 loads on Rem STS hulls.

    My $0.02 worth re the 410 loads;

    I've used 296 in the past, a little fine grained for my loader (leaks around the bar even with brass washer), started with 2400 about 15 years ago and have no reason to change. Really good hull life with old AA's, just ask my shooting buddies (you still using those hulls??).

    Anyway, I need more old-style hulls.

    Cheers

    Larry

    296 or Lil Gun in older CF hulls.
