What is an "H" coded shooter

Guess that is why I did not get two yards off with an 87 average.

Your "H" code wouldn't have had anything to do with not getting the recent 2-yard reduction offer.

All codes except "L" were temporarily removed.

An "H" code is earned when a shooter earns 1-1/2 yards or more in an event.

    Thanks
What is the process to get this corrected?

surveyor, another reason the shooter center may not show the 2yd reduction is if you haven't renewed your membership for 2012 yet.

Thank you all for the info. My card does not show the yardage I shot from. After reviewing the ATA web site I discovered that I have a 90.3 average since my last reduction and my "H" code will keep me at the 26.6 through the Grand.

As nice as she is, Cathy can't help you. "H" is a two year hold in target purgatory, and after getting passed on your first 1,000 target review, you can appeal to your state ATA Delegate to have it removed. If you're shooting in the mid to low 80's it should be no problem. (unless you've gained a reputation...grin

You can request an H code on yourself to stop all reduction offers from the ATA.

I had a self imposed H code on myself and still got a 2 yd reduction.

    (avg was 87.98) Those 2 77's hurt.

You cannot "impose an 'H' code on yourself."

An "H" code goes in to your record if you earn a 1-1/2 yard, or greater, punch.

You can get a similar effect by requesting that you not receive reductions.

You can request that reductions not be considered for:

    1) One year (you will get a "D" code in your record), or

    2) Lifetime (you will get a "K" code in your record).

For the recent 2-yard reduction offer, all codes, except "L," were temporarily removed. After the 2-yd reduction process was completed, all codes were restored.

    John,

As near as I can determine, an "L" code is put on those shooters who have committed some grave misdeed.

Thank you, I guess that wouldn't effect me.

    V10,

    You're right, my bad. I requested a "K" code.

The 2006 Grand earned me an "H" code, which has since expired.

(2 yards earned in Nitro 27 Handicap)

I was not sure of the rules anymore but won't ever be shooting handicap ever again...my eyes are now too bad to shoot anything besides singles and being a former 27yd shooter and doubt I would ever be allowed enough reduction to be remotely competitive
