what is different on winchoke -typ1,typ2 etc. ?

    i have a winchoked shotgun - i see for tubes for sale often
    listed as style 1 or style 2 etc.

    what is the difference ?

    I can't tell you for positive, but, when the winchoke first came out (series 1?), there was a collar that extended the choke beyond the muzzle and you used a spanner wrench to tighten and loosen them. You will find some of the Diamond grades that have the bottom barrel about 1/4 inch shorter than the top to make the overall length even. So you have a fixed choke top barrel and a winchoke in the bottom.

    At the end of winchester life and into the classic doubles life, the winchokes were flush (series 2?)and you used a T wrench like alot of them use now.

    Both will interchange with each other and the Browning Invector (NOT Invector plus), Mossberg and SKB non-competition.
