So did he continue to shoot? Did you guys welcome him back after a lengthy safety course?

Haven't seen him at the club in a long time. Heard he was taking a self imposed sabbatical. Here's the club policy.

What a stupid sign. Snap caps didnt shoot the other dude. Sign should read, "Do not fire loaded weapons at another shooter". What a dumba$$.

The sign works perfectly. There hasn't been a single incident since they posted it.

If you fire a loaded round anywhere but safely down range, you are an IDIOT. No amount of rules or signs can fix IDIOT.

Grntitan - So what? Gun clubs are full of idiots. Do you want us to believe you have never done anything idiotic?

Tell me this didn't happen at Spitters club, he always brags about how they have everything under control ... Obviously he was wrong once again ... The rule to not say anything unless you would say it to a persons face should be enforced so guys like Spitter cannot hide behind a keyboard and screen from 1800 mile away ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

    Sam,

I have never discharged a live round where it shouldn't be. Blaming a snap cap is just childish. Basic rules of gun safety prevent idiotic things like that from happening. The guy failed the basic gun safety principles. Period

Anyone who is comfortable watching someone taking a gun out of a case in a clubhouse and ejecting snap caps is also an idiot. I don't like to see that and I am not comfortable. Snap caps are not allowed at our club and it works just fine. There was discussion about the rule, but common sense prevailed.

Speaking of snap caps, has anybody ever seen the ATA approved orange ones? I have only seen red, black and brass.

Most snap caps are really training rounds for people to practice loading their shotguns. The worth of using a snap cap, or not, has been beat to death on here. see link
