Brownell's Acraglas Gel works very well for stock repairs....

Second the Acraglas. I've also use it with some fiberglass fabric on the inside of the stock for repairs.

Acraglas is the best I have used, but Devcon 5 minute epoxy is a close second. Devcon is available at most discount stores and places like Lowe's and Home Depot.

When making a repair on wood I like like Decon 2 Ton clear epoxy. You can add dye and saw dust from the broken stock and when it hardens you can sand it and get a very good match to the wood you are repairing.

For metal repair I like Devcon Plastic Steel epoxy, it is 80% steel powder and makes a very strong bond. HMB

Acraglass from Brownells. Get some atomized tungsten or atomized stainless steel. Very strong stuff. It's also great for around the home repairs. Brownells is perfect to work with. Michael

acrglass is the best. The brown and black dye can used to match the color of most stocks. I would avoid the fast setting epoxies, they aren't nearly as durable as the slow setting type.

I'd be real skeptical using Gorilla glue.

It swells and bubbles when it hardens.

Gorilla and all the other polyurathane glues need water to acttivate them and they do swell a bit. Not the best for stock cracks, etc.
