Eastern Connecticut. Fees are $2.50 member and $3.00 non-member. These fees are probably the lowest in the area.

Markham Park, Sunrise Florida. Everyone pays the same $9.00/25. Shoot card is $73/10 rounds. County run facility explains the out of sight prices and it's the only game in town.

East Tx, one is 4 for members 5 for non members. The other is 5/6.

Not too bad compared to a lot of prices I've seen.

Norwich Fish & Game, Norwich, CT. We charge $2.50 for members, $4 for non-members. We don't shoot too much trap. Pretty much a skeet club. There are a few trapshooters who are going to start shooting on Wednesday nights. We'll be starting to shoot skeet at night on Thursday nights, probably tomorrow. Hey Sandy, if you're interested in shooting trap on Wednesday nights, let me know, and I'll email you when things get more definite. We have the best lights around, guaranteed. It's like shooting at slow-moving pumpkins. Paul Jezierski, NFG.

Not a way to decide what to charge...

I shoot at clubs that charge anywhere from $3.50 to $9 a round.

Each club has its own reasons for what they charge. Paid help or volunteers, taxes, insurance, supporting non-clay target disciplines, heating bills, snow removal, lawn care, not enough shooters to cover expenses, losing money at shoots, and on and on...

The fact that Markham Park is county run is no excuse. My range in Illinois is operated by a municipal government and offers a 3-tier pricing structure for "members", "residents" and "non-residents".

There is one paid employee per shift. The parks department pays all expenses and maintenance. The Club does offer volunteer labor and owns the equipment, balancing the shooting discount.

Someone should FOIA and audit the financials of the shooting range operation to explain why they can't breakeven at $4/round or make money at $6...

    respectfully offered,

    Jay Spitz
