3 1/2" folding benchmade. I use the pocket clip as a money clip. Mike

Swiss army knife with 1 blade, sissors, file with screw driver tip, tweezers and a tooth pick. Good for every thing, even gutted a road kill deer with it. 2 1/4 inches long (closed) 1/4 inch thick

Buck 3 inch lock back during the week at school (private school). The girls who work for me (it is an all girls school) doing network support are expected to carry a lock back pocket knife. More than one has told me after graduating that they now always carry a pocket knife.

Weekends include a leatherman and a pocket knife, size depends on where I will be that weekend.

When my son in law lived in Chicago, they would come down to visit on the weekends. I would meet them at the airport, give him (and my daughter) a pocket knife to use for the weekend. They would give them back before flying home. We often remarked that you kindof feel naked when you don't have a pocket knife.

A large trapper (3 1/2") custom make or a Kershaw Leek. Don't leave home with out at least one.

WGH, that knifes too pretty for pocket carry to me. Might have to use for screwdriver, prybar or eating utensil. What kind is it? Need a nice sunday-go-to-meetin knife.

Right now I just have a cheap $40 benchmade with a tanto blade. If NY wasn't so restrictive I would have an auto knife though.

Rich19--You need to check out the Spring assisted Kershaw i posted above. I got mine at Wal Mart and its as close to a Auto Switchblade as you can get(without buying an actual Switchblade). It takes a very light touch and it flies open. Completely legal. Lifetime Warranty and less than $50. My friend tipped me off to them. He has had his replaced after he pried on something and snapped the tip off. They replaced it no questions asked.--Matt

I don't think it can even be spring assisted in NY. :(

Rich is pretty much correct about NY. But FWIW, you can carry a switchblade or a spring-loaded knife while hunting, trapping or fishing.
