What do the markings #2, #2 1/2 , # 3 mean on a Seitz barrel ? Mine says mid rib #2 1/2....does that tell me the POI ?

If not an adjustable rib it might be the height of the rib.

A #1 is a flat Rib #2 is more like a LJutic Mid-Rib and a #21/2 is alittle higher then the Mid-Rib #3 Is the high Rib .

    A number 2 1/2 Rib is 3/16 higher then a number 2 Rib

So the numbers have no correlation with POI ?

No correllation . Most of the time the higher Rib (21/2-3) were made to shoot higher and needed to be a higher rib to do that . The old flat ribs (1) can not get up to 100% without seeing rib . I have had both a #2 and #2 1/2 and the 2 1/2 rib shot 120% and the number 2 rib shot 90/10 .

A 2 1/2 high shooting rib which the rib is close to the muzzle shoots 18" high
The 2 1/2 rib that is high off the Bbl is either a 60/40 or 70/30
we are speaking of fixed rib Bbls.

Get an adjustable rib, get an adjustable comb. We are individuals and we are all different.
