(?) What Degreaser Should I Use

    To degrease prior to applying a bluing product on a TMX receiver what do you recommend? How about Acetone? Bob

    Grez Off, (Ace Hardware) then rinse with hot water.

    If you are talking about cold blue it won't matter, won't last long anyway.

    I have tank of Acetone that I use to degrease everything.

    Acetone is good and good to use to remove the crud after you cold blue too. Honestly I know some people say they have had success cold bluing a gun but I've never seen one that I'd be proud to own and I've never seen one that lasted. Cold blue is ok for touching up a very small area maybe if the metal co-operates. Also be aware that it contains some dangerous to your health chemicals.

    I think Cold Blue is a cruel joke on gun owners.
