Dark green seems to be the standard at all the clubs that I have shot in the last 40 or so years, most will have a pattern test on the back and the concrete shows it up better than a lighter color. Roger

    Roger, At 13 to 16 yards it's a POI, not a pattern. :)

Oh hell, spruce up the place with some color. Make the houses different by adding some pinks, lavenders, peaches and teals. The shooters will love you for it. :)

We used an exterior latex dark green from Sherman-Williams, this spring at the Amarillo Gun Club. I sprayed it with an airless sprayer. Went pretty fast. Two years ago, my wife and I used rollers. Took longer, and used more paint.

I have seen black, white, and all shades of green. Black was my favorite.

I think green is a good color, but if you wanted to do something different, I would use orange, any shade.

You're missing a great money making opportunity for your clubs. Rent out the back of the house for advertising space to local businesses.

Green is best for eye function, so go with green. If you don't like the color shoot elsewhere.

Looks like a few guys have checked POI on the corners. If all green, the pattern is easier to see and they will not need to shoot as many rounds = less damage!

Ours are flat black, and it's easy to touch up the pattern tests with a spray can of BBQ paint. Mark

Thank you to all who responded. Hope you all have a nice and healthful Holiday Season. Come shoot with us $3.50/round, 8 traps, Albuquerque Trap Club.

Of course if we paint some of those colorful schemes suggested, we will have to charge admission. Open Thursday and Sunday mornings or any time by appointment.
