    Hello:
My uncle is in his 80's and has had one auto accident, his fault. His auto insurance company raised his rates from $350.00 every 6 months to $550.00 every 6 months.

Obviously, his age, and the recent auto accident on his record will hurt his rates, but anyone shop around to see who actually has the lowest auto insurance rates being offered right now.
    Thanks,
    Steve Balistreri

State Farm has the lowest rates for me. No matter what Ins company you look at they will know about the chargeable accident and his driving record. Look around but it's unlikely his rates will be any lower than they are now. He may be able to lower his premiums by reducing his coverage, talk to the company and see what they can do for him in that respect.

Also if he can bundle the car insurance with his house insurance he may get a better rate.

USAA is the absolute best. If I were him I would stay where he is at. Changing at 80 is asking for trouble.
