I have a 682 gold e trap combo with x trap barrels and was thinking of getting some briley chokes and wasn't sure if they were mobile, optima, or optima plus? Anyone know how to tell the difference?

They should be Optimas. And I think you'll be waisting your money. Your I/M choke should absolutely hammer targets until you get to long yardage.

I'm not wanting to replace the chokes I have just fill in some that I don't for some possible sporting clays shooting.

My 682 gold E came with:

    Improved cylinder - .007 constriction

    Modified - .017 constriction

    Improved modified - .026 constriction

    Extra full - .040 constriction

I felt the extra full at .040 constriction was too tight. So, I purchased a full choke at .035 from Briley. I use the .035 constriction for handicap from the 26 yard line.

Also, not all chokes tubes are the same. One manufacture may call his choke tubes (IM, Mod, IM, F & EF) one constriction while another manufacture may have a different constriction by dimension, the actual measurement.

If you are going to purchase choke tubes, know the constriction you have. Than, purchase what you may desire.

    Good luck,

    Frank
