I bought a new Ljutic last year and I really like it......except for one little trait.

The choke tubes come with neoprene or rubber washers and they are supposed to be hand tightened they say that is all you need.

Well, it worked okay for a long time, but now I have to reach up and
re-tighten the choke tube about every 10 shots.

I'm very satisfied with the breaks I get, so that is no problem.

But, is it okay to get a little spanner wrench and tighten them up more, or should I go buy a different brand and hope that they will stay put?

I'd like to know what other Ljutic owners have to say about this.

    Thanks for you comments........in advance.........

Ho, replace the or-rings. They do not last forever. This should cure the problem. Hope this helps, Roy

New "O" rings and if that doesn't work, a strip of teflon pipe thread tape on the threads will hold them secure and still removable.

Those who said to put on a new "O" were right on the money.

I put a new one on and shot 200 birds today and the choke tube never needed tightening at all.

    Thanks everyone.

Now.......Is Ljutic the only place to get those "O" rings, or can I just go to my local hardware store and stock up on some?

    Thanks again!

Ho, you should be able to purchase those o-rings at any hardware store or try Fastenal if the hardware store doesn't have them. If you have a problem, let me know and I will pick them up for you and ship them. Please get the size from Ljutic. Hope this helps, Roy P.S. they do have to be the exact size.

    Hauxfan,

I got tired of the same thing with my Ljutic and bought Wright's competition chokes for $55 each. They are great folks to deal with and don't forget to buy their choke wrench. They're about $25. These are custom made chokes and are unlike any other choke on the market. They're made from 17-4PH material, and it's tough as nails. I know the chokes from Ljutic are about $150 each, so I now own full, improved modified and modifed Wright's chokes for what one choke from ljutic would have cost.
