    Hello:
I just received a PM from someone who feels that I must hold the record for the most threads ever started on this site.

Truth be told, I have never really thought about it, but here are my statistics.

Since 9/30/2007, I have started 800 threads, and have posted 3901 responses to other threads.

    What are your statistics?

    Steve,

Impressive numbers, but not near the top. There is one poster with 1,115 threads started and 14,621 posts. Not sure if that's the top or not.

I am too lazy to look, but I have no objection to you looking. I maybe started one but not sure. I do reply to some at times. I have never checked. Ray

I believe that I'm among a pretty small group of people who joined as far back as I did and are still active on the site. I know I've been a member since well before 2003. I used to browse TS.com when I was in high school (from school), and I graduated in '03. I would guess I've been around since 2001.

I don't believe those stats take into account the myriad of threads that got lost each time the database crashed, and I believe that's happened 3-4 times since I've been a member. It also doesn't count any posts that you deleted yourself (or had to be deleted by a moderator :)). I'd probably be over 8k if it weren't for the posts I deleted (ie when something I had for sale sold).

BTW, this post makes an even 7800.

Stats only go back to 12/2005. From that date 178 threads, and responded to a thread 5249 times. But, I've been on this site from just about the time it started.

Maybe we should have annual awards - a plaque or a belt buckle for the the most threads started, then one for the most replys, and of course one for who's been on here the longest (must still be alive at time of award) and then just a few honorable mentions.

I know these stats are low as I have been a member and participated on this site since its inception (3rd person to post a photo in the gallery). Still though, I was surprised at my stats given that I have been more of an observer over the past few years.

We should start an award program like the Dundees that they have on "The Office". Maybe Michael Scott can be the guest speaker.

    Those are impressive #'s.
