What action was used in Bill Cole

Anyone know what action Bill Cole used for his trap guns?

Did he start with an available action or work from scratch?

    Thank you

    Lou

When I talked to him he would make the gun any weight you wanted.

If I could have a high dollar trap gun it would be a Cole.

If Bill would have offered me that.. I would not have needed to make my own.. He did offer to remachine my old #2 Cole to the new.. thinner, lighter contour.. When I asked him about Titanium.. it fell on deaf ears..

Bill made his own action. Very heavy and very beefy. Milled from a block of 4140. Didn't require heat treating. Heviest action I've ever seen.

Cole SBT guns are the Rolls Royce of trap guns as far as reliability and function....Grade 3's are Art. 119 total guns made.

If a Cole is a Rolls Royce, then a Silver Seitz is a Bentley.
