I'll go against the grain of the people that want it their backyard.

My vote is Kingsburg, the site of the California state shoot. Second would be Redlands.

Kingsburg would be very nice , but they usually do not bid on this shoot.

Redlands always does a great job with this shoot , (and very competitive scores are posted there).

Terry and crew always does a great job at Redlands! Shouldn't the number of attending shooters determine which club would be best for holding such a shoot? Looks to me like such a shoot would be better attended at the Kingsburg club as the best WZ site for the most CA shooters.

Gene: Clubs must submit a bid to the cgsta to be considered for the shoot.
Kingsburg Gun Club has not bid on this shoot in recent yrs. If you want the Western Zone to be held at KGC , contact their BOD and request they put in a bid . Walt

No Brainer - Redlands - if you want the best and most consistent target presentations on the west coast, great back ground, great folks and a chance to put up a good score. There simply is no other so cal range that can even remotely offer what Redlands does. Kingsburg could handle the volume, but Kingsburg is a tough place to shoot for a lot of people. And it would be what, two weeks after the state shoot there???

Yesterday, the CGSTA Board of Directors voted to hold the 2010 Western Zone shoot at Triple B Clays in El Monte. The vote was between Redlands Shooting Park and Triple B. for the Southern Calif site. Coon Creek in Lincoln, Ca. was the only club that bid for the North and will also host this shoot.

This is very upsetting. Being from San Diego Shotgun Sports (club still closed) the drive to Triple B's is a rough one for most of us, I have not made it home under 3 1/2 hours to 4. At least Redlands most can make both ways under 2 hours. This is hurting the shooters, like a Club Manager or not - think of who you are suppose to be representing THE SHOOTERS. JAN SLOUGH
