Contrary to anything you may have heard, West Chester Gun Club will be holding its annual Turkey Shoot this Sunday 11/15 and next Saturday 11/21. The event is so big we can not hold it all in one day. Again this year we will be awarding fresh(never frozen)turkeys. The winners on Sundays shoot will be awarded vouchers which can be redeemed for turkeys on Saturday 11/21. The club will open on Sunday at 10AM for practice and the 1st event kicking off at 11AM. We look forward to seeing you at the West Chester Gun Club.

I have had lots of calls about the shoot being canceled. Does anyone know where the rumors are coming from or who is starting them?

Will there be practice available all day? And do we have to pre-squad to be able to shoot the program, as in past years?

Glad you made it Jeff. We were running the shoot when you posted and didn't see it.

We ran four traps today. The first three were for the event shooters, the fourth was open for practice all day. Traps were loaded as we shot, everything ran smoothly, and the 29th event squad finished right around 2PM.

Weather was terrific; food was great, as usual. Everyone had a good time, and Rich Gallo got a standing ovation for winning his first turkey in 13 years of trying. Way to go Rich. Don't forget to pick it up next Saturday. We'll save the biggest one for you.

The second half of the shoot is this Saturday, Nov 21st. Same time and rules as today's shoot. You may presquad if you wish for Event 6 and later by calling Jon Wolf @ 484 678-5675. We reserve the first 5 events (45 shooters) for walk-ins, but we'll keep adding squads as needed.

BTW, the fresh turkeys will dress out at 15-17 lbs, with some larger. These are premium birds. We pay $1.90/lb for them. I hope to see you all on Saturday.

Had a great time today at WC. Glad to see that they're shooter friendly once again!!! Very well run shoot, although I still think the locals get preferential treatment, since I didn't win a Turkey...lol...But kudos to the club on a well run event and on many more to come...

West Chester Gun Clubs Part 2 of our turkey, so big we can not hold it on just one day. The Club house will be open at 10AM for practice- practice trap open all day long and sign ups for part 2 of the shoot. First event on the line at 11AM. If you won turkeys on Sunday, come and pick them up. If you see Rich Gallo picking up his turkey- shake his hand- 1st turkey in 13 years and it was on the very last squad of the very last event of the day. The birds should be at the club house by Noon. Come out and enjoy yourself at the West Chester Gun Club. Jeff come try again!! jon wolf
