Foxconn, owned by Taiwan's Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., is the world's biggest assembler of consumer electronics, with about 1.2 million workers in factories in Taiyuan, the southern city of Shenzhen, in Chengdu in the west and in Zhengzhou in central China. It makes iPhones and iPads for Apple and also assembles products for Microsoft Corp. and Hewlett-Packard Co.

If you have a 401K, union retirement fund, or an investment fund, you have stock in those "greedy Companies", and you expect a return. So, they HAVE to make a profit for not only you, but their primary stockholders

That return is greatly deminished with expensive business costs in the U.S. via the EPA, CAT tax, high business tax, safety standards, and believe or not, non-competitve labor costs ( insurance, retirement, health care) compared to the rest of the global market.

Go ahead and start a company midilake, it's easy....piece of cake.

Midilake..... here's a question for you. If those products were assembled in this country, what wage do you think a worker should get?

Who is really dumb enough to think that businesses exist for the purpose of providing jobs to people? Even mindlesslake should understand that.

Surprised they weren't hooked up with General Electric/Jeffrey Immelt. YOu know them, they made billions in profit last year, paid no taxes, and are planning a huge venture in China. Meanwhile ,Immelt is no less than Jughead's Job's Czar.

Speaking of greed, click on the link.

    mid,

Steven Jobs was, and Apple is one of Nobama and the DNC's biggest supporters. Dell is liberal-land, Bill Gates is THE biggest Nobama supporter! Greedy damn Democrats! It's what we have been saying all along - your fearless leaders are all flim-flam artists, and their followers are useful-idiots.

Richard Trunka, head of the largest labor union in the USA gets $500,000 a year plus, plus............. wonder what he pays in taxes?

Nobama is a 1%'er, so is Pee-lousy, Dirty Harry, John Kerry, Barney, Axlerod, Daily........on and on.......... Wake the F.. up!

Roughly 20% of my companys' work force has been outsourced to India to perform low level clerical tasks. We keep the high skill jobs here. So -- if you want to work here, develop a skill and be very good at it.

Or, get a job in something that physically can't be outsourced, such as one of the many trades, i.e. plumbers, electricians, auto mechanic, or any of the other dozens of professions where the work has to performed locally here in the USA.

And, if you're really pi$$ed off at work being outsourced to China, Taiwan, Indonesia, etc., don't shop at Walmart, BJs, Costco or Target.

    Kipling, yes.

Congress was under Democratic control all the way from 2008 to 2010.

Nobody wanted to put the Chinese in their place.

Try selling US made goods in China.
