    Well gang, with some problems around here with the parks the kids play in, the school principles have removed the basketball nets after school. As the good dad that I am, I decided to build a basketball court in our backyard. I have not yet been able to get the lines and lane painted but that will happen soon. Running out of cash on the budget for this project. I have a pad that is 45' long and 25' wide. 6" of cement with re-rod drilled into the old driveway. The kids can now play roller hockey and basketball when they are not shooting.

    Just a few pics.

    Old court...

    New court...

    Well maybe next year.... Jerbear

    Wow what a Dad! It will be worth it in the long run at least you know where they are and what they are doing. The new gun will come when one of the kids gets a scholarship and then is taking care of dear ole' Dad

    Nice work!

    I remember one of my friends having a pretty big driveway and his parents put a 8 ft high break away back board in it. We played for hours and days on that thing.

    You're kids will thank you for years to come. Well done!

    Thanks dad, your the best and the backyard rocks. With the pool going back up next month we won't have to go anywhere except to shoot.

    That looks great! About 21 yds of concrete? At about $80/yd? Although you've spent alot of cash on the project it will return far more than what you've invested in it. Your family is your best place to invest your time and money. Did you do it yourself?

    Rem31TC, no I had the local cement co. do it. The court ,along the fence and a slab in front of my house marked by the township cost $4000.00. Was well Worth it.

    Here's the stretch along the fence.

    jerbear, your one heck of a dad:-}

    I do however wish you would have contacted Devi or I as I would have been more than happy to have poured the concrete for you inorder to help out. It would have gotten us up there also.

    Out of curiousity, what kind of a gun were you thinking of getting?

    Jerbear,
    When the boys grow up you have a nice pad onto which you may build a dream reloading room.

    See you at BGC this weekend.
