Weight of shot

    Anyone know the grain equivalent if a 7/8 oz drop of shot
    Want to check on scale just for sake of curiosity

    Txdirtbroker- I would be very surprised if the "7/8 oz drop" of shot from your reloader weighed 7/8 oz.

    A good reloading manual should have the weight of an individual pellet of the # size of the shot you are using. You should be able to calculate from there. Neil

    The Sticker on the front of my scale says 437 gr equals one ounce. So 7/8 would be 382, just like the "Unloader" posted

    trinketshooter, that would work if

    1. Shot were all the right size and

    2. Shot were all pure lead.

    But since neither of those requirements is true . . .

    I have carefully opened the hole in my charge bar with a round file to get it to throw a more accurate charge. No worries since.
