A young man showed up at the gun club yesterday with a new Weatherby autoloader shotgun. He is a new trap shooter and was shooting trap with it for the first time. Who makes, or which shell catcher can be adapted to fit this gun? Also, does anyone on here know who makes an improved modified choke tube to fit a Weatherby 12 gauge?

Both the SAS and SA-08 use Briley thread pattern chokes. The SAS was made by SKB and the new SA-08 is made by Fausti

I have a Weatherby OU and use the same chokes as Winchester, Weatherby, and Mossberg. All major choke manufactures make them. I would think the thread patteren would be the same in his auto loader.

Thanks th445. Does anyone have any ideas about a shell catcher for this gun?

How about one of those big rubber bands that cone on broccoli and other vegetables?

I have seem them used many times, just put them midway on the ejection port.

That was mentioned and the shooter does not want to do that.

The SAS was not made by SKB. It was made by Valtro in Bresica, Italy.

Easystreet has it right. Did not reads far enough to see that it was the SKB design made in Italy.
