As of today we have stopped taking PalPal for payments through our on-line store. They have not taken any funds yet but found out today that you can only transfer a Maximum amount of $500.00 per month out of your own account unless you give them your social security number. They have our federal tax ID number but that does not seem to be enough they want your SS. So enough is enough and we cancelled the account. No big deal just thought I would post the message.

I used PayPal once and regretted it. I bought something from a poster on here and paid with a credit card. His site routed me through PayPal and all I did was enter my card info and authorize payment. The charge went through as expected and the merchandise arrived in the condition advertised.

Then the emails started coming. According to them, my PayPal account was being suspended for I forget what kind of illicit activity. I never established an account (that I know of) and responded accordingly. I received no reply but about once a month or so, I received a similar email. I finally blocked all correspondence from PayPal and more than once have declined to purchase things when the seller only uses PayPal for funds transfers.

From an email I received this morning:

GunPal and AuctionArms.com We have some exciting news!

For years, we've all struggled to find a simple, secure and efficient on-line means to pay/accept payments for auctions. We've wanted an alternative method similar to PayPal/eBay model (a couple of notoriously anti-gun organizations that refuses to allow auctions or payments for firearms and ammo in their restricted items list).

Finally, we've found a staunch Second Amendment supporter and Affiliate partner that will bring not only an easy way to make and accept payments for your on-line purchases/sales, but will allow you to donate a portion of the fees they charge (as an option) to the NRA at NO ADDED COST TO YOU!

GunPal is our new Affiliate and we've entered into an Affiliate Agreement with them to provide you with an easy payment which is:

    · Cheaper than PayPal
    · Supportive of the Second Amendment
    · AND Provides Auction Arms users with unprecedented full buyer protection under the Affiliated Auction Site protections. Auction Arms is currently the only Affiliated Site to offer this protection!

Take it from us, this is a better deal for gun owners, buyers, and sellers than PayPal could ever be.

As a bonus, GunPal can be used to pay for any online transaction, or any transaction for that matter, where the recipient has an email address!

Averaged, I am not defending paypal but those emails you were receiving were not from paypal, that is just a scam that we all get from time to time by people trying to get you to give your paypal login and password. Since you didn't have an account you couldn't provide that info...luckily.

About 6 months ago we (Target Shotguns, Inc.) published a website using PayPal as the payment system for credit card users. After about 2 weeks I received a nasty email from PayPal informing me that they were closing my business account AND my personal PayPal account because I was in the gun business! ... And they did just that. I did get a bank transfer for the $1800 or so that was due me and I am banned from PayPal for life!

Scary people out there ... GunPal will be up and rnning on my web site in a week or so and they seem like great folks to do business with. We accept credit cards through the site now and have had no issues since PayPal has left ... don't miss them much either.

They are a real lefty-loony bunch there so careful if you attempt gun stuff with them, you might join me on their persona non grata list!

I read here about GUNPAL just the other day, and immediately signed up for it.

I inquired with them about the availability of a telephone contact number because I had PayPal's. I'd used Pay Pal's a couple of time with great success.

I got an email back from GUNPAL's CEO rather quickly. HeO told me they did not have one YET, so he gave me his direct number.

    Man, hard to beat that!

Because of what they did to the Valour IT program (refused to set up an account, left-tard behavior against the war) I will never have anything to do with those sorry ass excuses for human beings. This is a volunteer group who collects used and new computers for wounded veterans to help them communicate with friends and family, start to learn a new career, etc. and because PayPal is against the war they refused to set up an account for Soldiers Angels so they could take donations. ATA uses PayPal and I told them why I would not renew online, I would wait until my first shoot of the year to do it. If you needed another reason to not have anything to do with PayPal hopefully this is it.

    Greg

BTW, I included a link to SoldiersAngles site, stop by and if you can do anything for them please do. They do a lot for us every day...

If it is any consolation, they must be feeling Whiz White's action. I got my first Pay Pal advertising e-mail today. Some kind of credit deal.
