After the sanctions yesterday, the motto for Penn State football has changed.

The almighty, "WE ARE PENN STATE"

    has been changed to.........

    "PENN STATE: Walk-Ons Welcomed!"

Now that the NCAA has stripped JoePA of his wins since 1998, what are they going to do to the other administrators that knew about Sandusky? Maybe they could revoke some of the diplomas from students that already graduated from Penn State.

There are charges filed against several administrators. Theses sanctions are meant to send a message to the collages....Academics comes first NOT football or any other sport for that matter.

    To much, too late!!

Remember, these are liberals trying to punish others!

The Question is this, Why are all these college's making so much money off of sports, charging(extorting)so much for attending(double digit increases this year alone), paying out 6 and 7 digit pay to Prof. who don't attend their own class'es and then have the gull to ask and demand TAXPAYERS to pay for new and remodel construction on campus's??

From what I have been hearing lately over that last couple of years, ALL enrolled students COULD be attending for FREE and the colleges would still have MILLIONS of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!

The NCAA always punishes kids who had zero to do with the problems. Typical hypocrasy from an instituion that has no one to answer to. They make rules and pick and choose who pays the debts. The NCAA is suppose to be ALL about the student athelete yet they do little to stop colleges from being professional farm systems. Think one and done and the player that only goes to class for a semester yet gets to play the entire season with no adverse effects to them.

I am all for punishing Sandusky and anyone else involved in the cover up but why punish future student atheletes? Or atheletes that played for Joe the last 14 years? The atheletes did not cover up this atrosity or help promote it.

The NCAA needs rebuilt with a backbone. Instead it has turned into an instituion that is all about money.

Yup BAD..the real losers are the kids who had no part..and the rest of a great educational institution ..the innocent always seem to suffer for the actions of a few bad apples

If you think that big college football is not bad...just look at the trash that goes into the NFL on a yearly basis....

Just how the he** does reducing scolarships by 20 a year for the next four years help student atheletes? That is 80 kids losing out on scholarship. Boy that sure shows Sandusky now doesn't it. Friggin fire the azz wipes that helped cover this mess up and make damn sure they never work at another college institution or school of any kind.

ya....and tell me it would have been any different at Alabama, USC, Michigan, etc. I agree with the sanctions. The sad thing is none of us is really that shocked at the cover up. Sad and angry but not shocked. Division 1 colleges today are too often structures onto which we hang a football or basketball team (the “revenue” sports). That’s coming from a college football fan, too. The players are in most cases athletes first and students a very distant second and many (if not most) have no intention of ever getting a degree.

It’s not “We are Penn State”...it’s “we are college football”.

OK, the last winning quarterback on record for Penn State is none other than Mike McQueary, the man that seen and reported Sandusky in the shower with the boy. He had a record day against Wisconsin. Interesting to say the least.

I think it was Matt McGloin, and the coach was Tom Bradley

I bet everyone involved in the coverup justified it in their mind, it would hurt scholarships, local businesses
damage careers, etc. if they did the right thing and expose Sandusky. What a pathetic bunch.

Here's a brilliant fan who thinks the NCAA sanctions against Penn State are equivalent to the tragedy of 911. I wonder how he'd feel if his grandchild was raped by a man whose pedifilia was concealed for 12 years by Ohio State.
