We survived one term of this guy. We held the House, and he'll have no more accomplishments. I think some gridlock will be a good thing. Not a good result, but not the end, either.

1.2 Trillion reduction in the scope of the Federal gubmint - comin' up! Bring it on; let's do this.

Hey, we tried. America was given an option, and they didn't take it. This is a democracy, and the people have a right to vote for who they want. And, get what they got comin'. I figure folks have doubled down, so they've got something coming to them.

So let's let them have it.

The Dems will lose even more House seats in 2014. It always happens to the party that's in the White House. Keep your powder dry. We have a historic opportunity to actually see the Federal Government shrink - if we keep steady and don't cave.

The main thing is, contact your Representative, and tell him in no uncertain terms - YOU EXPECT NO COMPROMISE WITH THIS PRESIDENT, AND WILL FIRE YOUR CONGRESSMAN'S ASS IF HE DOES COMPROMISE.

No feeling sorry, guys. America has spoken. We have a role to play in this.

So let's do it. If you truly, truly believe in the Federal Government getting smaller, then face it, that was probably not going to happen under a Romney Presidency. He would have wanted his first term to be a sucess, and shutting the government down doesn't fit into that. I hate that he lost, but let's make lemonade out of this, and take the opportunities we are given.

"We held the House and he'll have no more accomplishments." That comment is the exact reason why we are in the situation you all where hoping for.

Time for compromise. Time to get rid of the stalemate this country has been in for the last 2 years. If this does not happen, you are right nothing will change for the good, and you can all keep saying Obama is to blame. That may make you happy, but it does nothing for this country.

Nothing as far as control has changed, so maybe it is time for the Politicians to change their attitude, and get something done!

There will be no budgets passed by the Senate, no repeal of Obamacare and we will continue to borrow money from China to give out for social programs.

Supreme Court appointments of what 3 more Libs?

The Republican House will be held in contempt as obstructionists and the Dems cry for 2014, will be to remove them and give the House back to the Dems.

The minorities in this country will soon be the majority and the Democrats have done a skillful job of convincing them they are due for past transgressions.

Just watch with tax increases due in January and cuts in defense spending kick in.

If both sides would now work together for the American people like they were elected to do, somethings could be done. If not, it will be the same old bitchin and complaining. It's time all members of congress did the job they were elected to do.

Wonder if Medyedev has called to congratulate Zero and ask how soon they can meet to discuss Obama's "flexibility."

Well on the bright side, Colorado is going to pass recreational use of marijawana.

Guess I'll trip down to the local head shop, buy some plants and seeds, a gro-lux lamp and spend the rest of my life, tuned out and turned on.

It was the thing I rejected in the 60's, but perhaps I should "evolve"

Rick, China won't loan us any money- The Feral Reserve loans it to us now.

United States public debt - Wikipedia, the free U.S. federal debt held by the public as a percentage of GDP, from 1790 to 2009 ..... However, there are limits to how much can be raised by these measures. ... As is apparent from the chart, a little less than half of the total national debt is owed to the "Federal Reserve and .... Nor are we heading rapidly in that direction." ...

    Timberfaller, "for bomming Libya"?

STL Flyn, "compromise" Does that mean executive amnesty for Holder/F&F?

I believe that the two parties will now work together with compromise, before that is forced upon us. It may be about the same thing as far as policies, but not so drastic of measures. Either way, it has to be done!

I wouldn't care as much about four more years if it wasn't for SCOTUS...

The Dems kept the Senate... The Supreme Court nominees he puts in place without real opposition will shape this nation for not just decades, but generations. Let us pray the country can overcome the challenges and hurdles that those who hate freedom will lay before us in the next four years.
