    Losing your hearing like that diminishes you professionally and socially and personally. What happened to you is no small thing.

    What Rick said. Being nearly deaf is no fun.

    Can't hear kids playing, birds or insects any more without hearing aids.

    Absolutely get a lawyer. Save every receipt and record mileage for every appointment etc.

    Workmans Comp is probably not going to touch this deal. This is a liability of the company and the guys involved. You need a good lawyer ASAP, keep your mouth shut and wait the several years this is going to take to be solved.

    It's been 24hrs. Before we start negotiating a settlement, how about we wait a week and get another exam.
