I had an old Perazzi TMX Special that some of the bluing worn off. I decided to have some engraving done on it. Now when I get that back there won't be and protection from the elements, I think. Should be raw steel. What should I do to protect it? Not just oil or silicone. Nitride? Something not to detract from the engraving. Thanks. Dave T.

I'll check it out. I was on Doug's Gunsmithing website and they have a nickel finish which should work. Dave T.
